Job Description

TMWS is looking to appoint a Site Manager with responsibility for both The Market Weighton School and Market Weighton Infant School sites to join our dynamic team.

  • Can you manage the planned maintenance programme and oversee the delivery of statutory compliance tasks?
  • Can you maintain accurate and up-to-date records?
  • Can you carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs?
  • Can you spot opportunities to improve efficiencies and working practices and take appropriate action?
  • Do you have a clean driving license?

Graded as Ofsted Good, The Market Weighton School is on the edge of the town, but for many, it is in the heart of the community. It is a caring school that values respect, honesty, compassion, resilience, industry, and courage. Our inspired pupils are happy to demonstrate these qualities because they understand their importance. We are a small school, proud of our traditional rural heritage, yet ambitious for the future of all our students.

Our size is a real strength as it enables students and their families to work closely with the teaching and support staff at the school, building positive relationships. We believe that students achieve best in a supportive and positive environment, and that is what you will find in our school.

At Market Weighton Infant School, we hope you will find a happy and friendly environment of nearly 300 children (aged from 3 to 7) and 50 staff members. We offer a warm, caring environment that enables children to feel safe and secure as they grow, learn, and develop. As an infant school, we provide many opportunities for young children to 'shine'-from being the 'class helpers' for the day to participating in musical performances. The early years are crucial in shaping children's attitudes to learning. We aim that, by the time children leave us, they will have developed a strong sense of self-worth and a stimulated mind, feeling happy and motivated as they continue their educational journey.
