Site Manager - Residential Development (Wicklow)

Location: Wicklow, Ireland

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent On-Site

Salary: €65,000-€90,000 DOE + Bonus & Benefits

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major new residential development in Wicklow. The project consists of a 60-unit mixed housing and apartment scheme and is ready for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled construction professional to step into a long term, career defining role with an expanding and well-established building contractor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
  • Oversee site setup, ensuring all necessary facilities and services are in place
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members for smooth site operations
  • Manage daily whiteboard meetings and two-week lookahead schedules
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Enforce quality control standards and project specifications
  • Maintain a detailed site diary including subcontractor activity and personnel levels
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure timely delivery of drawings and technical information
  • Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager on project planning and execution
  • Attend weekly management team meetings and contribute to progress reporting
  • Motivate and manage on-site labour and subcontractor teams
Candidate Profile
  • Trade-qualified or technical background preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction
  • Proven ability to manage housing/apartment projects from groundworks to handover
  • Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations and construction standards
  • Competent in reading construction drawings and coordinating with design professionals
  • Experience working with utility providers and managing installations
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
