Site Manager - Hastings, East Sussex

Location: Hastings, East Sussex

We're seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site Manager to oversee structural builds and mezzanine floor installations in commercial, industrial, or retail settings across Hastings and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to high standards of quality.

1. Manage all site operations, including labour, subcontractors, materials, and welfare facilities.
2. Supervise structural works such as steel installations, foundations, and mezzanine floors.
3. Ensure compliance with UK regulations concerning mezzanine design, fire safety, structure, accessibility, and building control documentation.
4. Conduct risk assessments, prepare method statements (RAMS), and oversee site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily records.
5. Liaise with structural engineers, building control, clients, and stakeholders to maintain project flow and regulatory compliance.

1. Valid CSCS card (Black/Manager level preferred).
2. Valid H&S certification: SMSTS or SSSTS.
3. First Aid at Work certificate.
4. Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain one quickly).

1. Proven track record in structural projects and mezzanine floor installation.
2. Knowledge of mezzanine-specific regulations such as load capacity, headroom, fire protection, and safety measures.
3. Experience managing live-site teams, ensuring safe work practices under CDM regulations.
