Our client is a plant hire and civil engineering contractor recruiting a Civils Foreman for the demolition and construction of a service station in Wexford Town. The role stays on the job from demolition and groundworks right through the fit out stage, managing the lads on site and health and safety throughout. Fit out experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Take day to day charge of the site, managing the lads and directing the crews
• Sequence and supervise the works through demolition, groundworks and drainage
• Stay on through the fit out stage, managing labour and site discipline
• Own health and safety on site, running toolbox talks and ensuring RAMS and permits are followed
• Plan labour, plant and materials so the site has what it needs when required
• Monitor progress and keep the job moving to programme
• Keep daily site records, labour and plant returns and progress reports

Requirements

• Proven Foreman experience on civils projects
• Strong knowledge of demolition, groundworks and drainage
• Able to manage crews and hold them to programme
• Strong on health and safety, with the ability to run toolbox talks and enforce standards daily
• Able to read and work from construction drawings
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
• Fit out experience is not required
