About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Site Engineering Manager to lead our site engineering function at LDC. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all engineering activities, including people, equipment, and materials, in line with legal, group, and site policies.

You'll be instrumental in driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site, while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring robust succession planning and skills development.
• Oversee all engineering operations, ensuring optimal use of resources and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Partner with HR to recruit, retain, and develop talent.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure all statutory and internal audits are passed and actions closed out.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in engineering within a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent people management and coaching skills.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Commitment to high standards in health & safety, food safety, and environmental compliance.
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or higher).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the business.
