This is an opportunity for a Site Engineer to join one of Ireland's longest established and most respected Main Contractors on a landmark redevelopment project in Co. Laois. You'll play a key role in transforming an existing facility into a modern, multi storey headquarters, involving the refurbishment of protected structures alongside the construction of a new extension within a historic setting. The project combines complex restoration works, demolition, new build construction and high spec finishes, offering excellent technical experience for an ambitious engineer. This contractor has delivered high quality projects across Ireland for over 100 years and has successfully completed more than 1,000 projects across the commercial, healthcare, education, residential, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Keep accurate records of site activities, including drawings, reports and project documentation.
• Work closely with design teams, consultants, subcontractors and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction drawings and technical information, ensuring site teams clearly understand project requirements.
• Assist in managing subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience as a Site Engineer with an Irish Main Contractor.
• Excellent decision making, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Experience working on refurbishment, extension or public sector projects is advantageous.
