Job Description
Job Title: Site Director - Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Colomiers, Occitanie, France
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / President
Job Summary:
The Site Director will oversee all aspects of operations in an aerospace manufacturing facility, including production, engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, finance, and human resources. The Site Directorensures the organization meets strategic goals, maintains regulatory compliance, and delivers high-quality aerospace products on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all daily operations across production, engineering, quality, logistics, and support departments.
- Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, ITAR, etc.).
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with business goals and market demands.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Oversee talent acquisition, team development, and performance management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor KPIs and production metrics to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality targets are met.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Represent the company in industry events, audits, and customer visits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, regulatory standards, and quality systems.
- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, supply chain optimization, and cost reduction strategies.
Preferred Certifications:
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- PMP or similar project management credentials
- AS9100 or ISO 9001 lead auditor training
