What You'll Be Doing- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of site operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance requirements, statutory regulations, and approved method statements
- Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings to embed a strong safety culture
- Monitor temporary works, plant checks, permits, and ensure all works are delivered safely and compliantly
- Lead by example on site, actively promoting near-miss reporting and good housekeeping standards
- Drive quality by ensuring inspection and test plans are followed and works are "right first time"
- Track and report daily progress, resolving any issues that could affect delivery or budget
- Order, coordinate, and manage construction plant and materials efficiently
- Support and mentor site teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, customers, and the public, maintaining respect and professionalism at all times
- A proactive and experienced Site Civil Supervisor who can lead from the front
- A CSCS Supervisor card and proven supervisory experience in civil construction works
- CITB SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid qualifications
- CPCS Lift Supervisor and Temporary Works Supervisor accreditations (desirable)
- NRSWA Supervisor and HSG47 training in underground service avoidance
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors
- A practical, problem-solving approach with strong organisational and planning skills
- IT literacy and openness to adopting new technologies and digital tools
- A track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard within the construction or water sector
