Pod-Trak is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site Civil Engineer to join our delivery team. You will play a key role in the on-site management, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering works, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across a range of infrastructure projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and Designers, you will support all aspects of construction delivery, from setting out and surveying to reporting and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day management of site-based civil engineering activities
  • Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying for a range of civil works
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and technical standards
  • Assist with the preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments
  • Monitor site progress and produce daily/weekly reports as required
  • Check quality of workmanship and record as-built information
  • Liaise with designers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain accurate site records and support commercial reporting
  • Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on site
  • Support junior engineers and site staff as part of ongoing project development
Requirements
  • Experience as a Site Engineer or Civil Engineer within rail, civils, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Proficient in setting out and surveying using GPS, total station, and AutoCAD
  • Good understanding of civil engineering design, construction methods, and specifications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Relevant civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree level)
  • Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
  • Experience working within a rail environment (PTS qualification advantageous)
  • Knowledge of NEC or JCT contract frameworks
  • Familiarity with drainage, structures, and reinforced concrete works
  • Experience with quality assurance documentation and handover processes
