Job Description

The Acute Medical Unit is looking for a passionate,hardworking and friendly Senior Nurse to support the Ward Manager and DeputyWard Managers for the Acute Medical Unit.

This is an opportunity for a Nurse who has currentexperience in Acute Medicine to further develop their skills and roleprogression.

This role is pivotal in supporting the Acute Medical Unit, itsstaff and the Ward Manager.

The Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse will work closely withthe Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Managers for AMU in ensuring we provide anenvironment that continually aims to provide the care and experience for ourpatients that is safe, effective, well led, caring and responsive as well asoffering a positive working experience for colleagues and learners.

Main duties of the job

  • Current level one NMC registration

  • Teaching/Mentorship Qualification
Knowledge
  • Commitment to continuous personal development for revalidation NMC
  • Policies, practices and procedures e.g. NHS national policies, standards, requirements and directions that relate to measuring and improving the quality and safety of patient care
  • Specialist/Management training
