Our client, a fast-growing and innovative payment service provider based in the heart of Amsterdam, is looking for a SIRA and Transaction Monitoring Officer to strengthen their Compliance & Risk team. This is a key role in ensuring the company remains compliant with Dutch and European regulatory standards while proactively identifying and mitigating financial crime risks.

About the Role

• Leading and maintaining the Systematic Integrity Risk Assessment (SIRA) process.
• Designing and enhancing transaction monitoring frameworks and rules.
• Conducting in-depth analysis of transaction data to detect unusual or suspicious activity.
• Overseeing sanctions screening processes and ensuring compliance with EU, UN, OFAC, and other relevant sanctions regimes.
• Ensuring compliance with the Dutch Financial Economic Crime (FEC) guidelines.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Risk, Product) to ensure a robust compliance culture.
• Preparing reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Supporting audits and regulatory inspections.

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience in SIRA, transaction monitoring, sanctions compliance, and FEC-related frameworks within the financial or fintech sector.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions regimes, and Dutch regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with screening tools and alert handling processes.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach.
