Pay & Hours

We offer a rate of £12.71 and a working week of 30 hours over 5 days, Monday to Sunday. Flexible working hours can be discussed to accommodate your needs where possible.

Job Role

As a Shop Supervisor you will work alongside our team to prepare fresh ingredients and produce sandwiches, baguettes, and other food products in line with Wenzel's standards, while delivering outstanding customer service and selling high quality fresh food. You will be trained to company standards and eligible for future progression.

A supervisor assists the Shop Manager with day to day store operations, supervising the team, increasing sales, controlling costs, and delivering profit. You will also develop and lead the shop team to build a loyal customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assist with the management of branch stock and produce.
• Maintain shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Prepare food in line with specifications.
• Ensure food and produce quality control.
• Maintain the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Work efficiently as part of a team.
• Handle cash and operate the till.
• Open or close the shop when required.
• Run shifts at various times during the week.
• Drive sales and minimise wastage.
• Have previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at a supervisory level.
• Experience working in food production is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
