Location: Daneswood - Shipham
Hours: Full-time (flexible rota including evenings, weekends & bank holidays)
Salary: £31,000 + Performance Bonus, Health Care Cash Plan, Refer a Friend Scheme & more

At Daneswood, we re looking for a Shift Leader who leads with compassion, confidence, and professionalism. This is a rewarding opportunity to influence positive outcomes for both residents and staff every single shift.

About the Role

As a Shift Leader, you ll be a key part of our leadership team, guiding and motivating staff on shift while ensuring our residents receive outstanding, person-centred care. You ll work closely with the Team Leader and Registered Manager, stepping up to deputise when needed and helping maintain high standards across the service.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact.

What You ll Be Doing

You ll play a vital role in both leadership and direct care, including:

Leadership & Team Support
  • Leading and supervising Support Workers on shift, acting as a positive role model
  • Supporting Team Leaders and Managers with day-to-day operations
  • Taking responsibility for delegated care plans and ensuring they are implemented effectively
Resident Care & Support
  • Supporting residents with personal care, dignity, and respect at all times
  • Promoting independence and encouraging residents to reach their full potential
  • Care Planning & Administration
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records and reports
  • Supporting the safe administration, storage, and ordering of medication
Environment & Community
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  • Welcoming visitors and maintaining positive relationships with families and external professionals
  • Promoting positive relationships within the local community and with external agencies

What We re Looking For

  • Experience in a care or support setting (senior or leadership experience desirable)
  • A calm, confident leader who can guide and motivate others
  • A compassionate approach with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and person-centred care
  • Flexibility to work across a rota including weekends and bank holidays
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
