A Shift Engineer supports the Engineering Team in maintaining hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and compliance.
What will I be doing?
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance within hotel rooms
- Respond promptly to maintenance calls
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules and maintain equipment to standard
- Assist in energy conservation initiatives
- Recommend improvements for maintenance systems and energy savings
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Keep technical skills up to date
What are we looking for?
- A certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing
- Knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
- Experience in a large hotel, hospital, ship, or similar environment
- Strong work ethic
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently within deadlines
