Job Description
HSEQ Manager - Structural Steel Location: Southern Ireland Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The Role Wall Steel is looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to oversee health, safety, environmental and quality standards across its projects in the UK, Ireland and Europe. You will take overall responsibility for the HSEQ function, providing leadership and support to site-based HSEQ Advisors, ensuring consistent standards are maintained across all projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the HSEQ function across multiple projects. Oversee and support site-based HSEQ Advisors. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation. Carry out regular site visits, inspections and audits across Europe. Develop, review and implement HSEQ policies, procedures and systems. Monitor site performance and drive continuous improvement. Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions. Provide HSEQ guidance and support to Project Managers and site teams. Maintain and review RAMS, risk assessments and method statements. Deliver and coordinate HSEQ training and toolbox talks. Liaise with clients, main contractors and external bodies on HSEQ matters. Prepare HSEQ reports, KPIs and performance updates for senior management. About You Proven experience in an HSEQ / Health & Safety management role within construction or structural steel. Experience managing or mentoring site-based HSEQ Advisors. Strong knowledge of UK and European HSEQ legislation and standards. NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction site safety and structural steel erection. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Confident working with senior management, clients and site teams. Willing and able to travel regularly across Europe.
