Sheltered Scheme Officer

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking to recruit six Sheltered Scheme Officers to deliver a resident-first, person-centred housing management and support service for prospective and existing sheltered housing tenants. The role involves carrying out needs and risk assessments, providing enhanced housing management, and coordinating appropriate support to promote independence, dignity, wellbeing, safety and social inclusion. The postholder will work proactively with residents to ensure they feel supported, respected and empowered within their homes.
The Sheltered Scheme Officer will ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards, meeting regulatory, contractual and internal policy requirements. Working flexibly across sheltered schemes, the role will address both individual and communal needs, promoting choice, safety and quality of life while fostering inclusive, supportive living environments for residents.

About YouThe successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge and experience of developing risk assessments and risk management
- Experience of working on own initiative, able to resolve conflicts and make sound decisions under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Experience using housing management or CRM systems and interpreting performance data.
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues, tenants & their carers, other Council Departments and external agencies.
- Confident, assertive and diplomatic, with a commitment to overcoming obstacles and achieving positive results.
- Awareness of safeguarding, lone working and customer care issues and a commitment to providing high-quality services in a way that meets customer needs.
- Ability to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication skills, including letter writing.
- Computer literate and able to make use of all modern ICT applications as required.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
Interviews will take place week commencing 13th July.
