Sheet Metal CNC Operator

Laser Punch OperatorNew opportunity at this busy sheet metal fabrication company for someone to operate this Amada Laser Punch combination machine. You will produce high-quality components to drawing specifications, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment.

This role can be offered on a day, late or night shift and the company has flexibility to adjust start and finish times to suit.Key responsibilities- Set up, program and operate Amada Laser Punch equipment for production runs- Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders accurately- Load tooling, fixtures and materials; adjust machine parameters for material type and thickness- Monitor production for quality; perform in-process inspections and final checks- Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines- Report faults and work with maintenance to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime- Maintain accurate production records, timesheets and material usage logs- Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired skills and experience- Proven experience operating Amada Laser Punch machines- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and CNC programmes- Competent in basic machine setup, tool changes and minor troubleshooting- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team- Physically able to handle materials and stand for extended periodsThis is a permanent role with a starting salary dependant on experience and shift You must have current UK right to work to be considered.
