About Your New Role as Setting Out Engineer

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out and calibration of works on site on a high end refit development, ensuring that all measurements and technical specifications are met throughout the construction process. You will work closely with site management and subcontractors to guarantee project requirements are fulfilled to the highest standards. Main responsibilities include:

• Accurately setting out, levelling, and surveying the construction site.
• Interpreting project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance during execution.
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on technical aspects.
• Maintaining detailed site records and reporting on progress and technical issues.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

What Skills You Need as a Setting Out Engineer:

• At least 2 years' experience in a Setting Out Engineer or similar role within the construction sector.
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of setting out techniques, site surveying, and construction processes.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and related software.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
