Job Description

Kenex out of school club, We offer breakfast and afterschool club for school aged children. Kenex opened in 2003 and we have now added an additional setting therefore we are seeking new staff.

We create a fun, safe, creative environment where children feel nurtured and wanted. We are hiring a childcare Practitioner based at our successful OUTSTANDING wraparound childcare setting due to adding an additional setting

Setting Deputy Manager / Eary Years Professional

Requirements:

  • Level 2 / 3 in Childcare
  • Level 3 (MUST) - Setting Manager
  • Childcare experience
  • Available between the hours of 7:00am -9:00am / 3:00pm - 5:45/6:00pm
  • Up to 25 hours per week, Term-time
  • Flexibility of less or more- to be discussed during interview stage
  • 1 year management experience (required)
  • Above minimum wage / hourly rate can be discussed

Responsibilities:

Breakfast Club
  • Welcoming children and ensuring a calm, positive start to the day
  • Preparing and serving breakfast in line with food hygiene standards
  • Supervising children while they eat and socialise
  • Encouraging independence (tidying trays, washing hands, packing bags
  • Safely escorting children to class at the start of the school day
After School Club
  • Registering children and ensuring safe collection procedures
  • Providing a safe, structured, and fun environment after school
  • Planning and leading activities (arts & crafts, board games, outdoor play, homework support)
  • Supporting children's social development and positive behaviour
Safeguarding & Safety
  • Following safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Promoting inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and incident records
  • Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
