The employer is a well-established organisation in the financial services industry, seeking a ServiceNow Architect to lead and shape a ServiceNow platform implementation in a global enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and develop tailored ServiceNow solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scope.
- Ensure the integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the implementation team.
- Maintain platform stability and optimise system performance.
- Develop and enforce best practices for ServiceNow architecture and design.
- Monitor and resolve technical issues to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Document workflows, designs, and configurations for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hands-on, greenfield ServiceNow platform design and configuration, including at least one full implementation within a global enterprise environment.
- Completion of at least six full ServiceNow product implementations, including a minimum of two ITSM and two ITOM deployments.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT, with at least 7 years dedicated to ServiceNow platform engineering and development.
- At least 2 years' experience as a ServiceNow Architect, or 4 years' experience as a Senior ServiceNow Developer, within a global enterprise setting.
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry and its technology needs.
- Expertise in designing scalable and efficient ServiceNow solutions.
- Proficiency in integrating enterprise systems with ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, driving quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- A detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications in ServiceNow or related technologies are desirable.
Skills Required
- ServiceNow Platform Expertise - Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, and scoped applications.
- Solution Design & Configuration - Proven ability to design and configure base platform components in a greenfield environment.
- Technical Leadership - Strong capability to lead technical teams, guide implementation partners, and drive platform development.
- Governance & Standards - Experience establishing and enforcing technical governance frameworks, development standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Integration & Connectivity - Skilled in integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems using APIs, IntegrationHub, and secure data flows.
- Security & Compliance Awareness - Familiarity with embedding InfoSec, auditability, and regulatory controls into platform architecture.
- Documentation & Artefact Management - Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Platform Health & Lifecycle Management - Competence in monitoring platform health, planning upgrades, and managing technical debt.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Effective communicator with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across IT, Security, and Business.
