About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Automation Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract. You will be responsible for analysing, designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions within the ServiceNow platform, enhancing IT service delivery, operational efficiency, and user experience.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong ServiceNow development skills, automation expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across IT and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather and analyse automation requirements.
- Design and develop ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer flows, and IntegrationHub/Orchestration solutions.
- Implement end-to-end automation across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM modules.
- Build and extend custom ServiceNow applications to meet business needs.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub Spokes.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (process flows, solution designs, test cases).
- Test, validate, and deploy automation solutions in line with change management processes.
- Monitor and optimise performance of automated workflows.
- Provide support and training to end-users and internal teams on automation features.
Required Skills & Experience
- ServiceNow Development: Strong hands-on experience in configuration and development, including Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and IntegrationHub.
- Automation: Proven experience creating workflows for ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Request, etc.).
- Scripting & APIs: Proficiency in JavaScript (Glide API) and experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
- Platform Knowledge: Solid understanding of core ServiceNow modules - ITSM, CMDB, Catalog.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is essential. Additional certifications (CAD, ITSM, ITOM, HRSD) are desirable.
- Advanced Features (nice to have): Orchestration, Discovery, Event Management, Virtual Agent, or custom app development.
- Integration Tools: Familiarity with IntegrationHub Spokes (Azure, AWS, Microsoft Teams).
- DevOps/CI-CD: Experience with Git, Jenkins, or ServiceNow App Repo.
- Agile: Practical experience in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Other Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, AngularJS, or Bootstrap for UI customisation. Exposure to PowerShell or Python is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
