Job Description

The post holder will have overall responsibility for the leadership of a discrete Mammography service within a Division of the Radiology CPG in Central area. This will include delivery of local access and activity targets, local clinical governance and the line management of designated staff.

Provide specialist advice to colleagues on the day to day delivery of the Mammography service - including teaching at graduate and postgraduate level.

Implement national & BCUHB policies and strategies together with current relevant legislation in the local service, under the direction of the Principal Radiographer.

Work closely with senior colleagues, including other Service Lead Radiographers and Principal Radiographers to develop and deliver safe and effective Radiology services.

The post holder will play an active clinical role in delivering the Mammography service including out of hours as required.
