Service Engineer

Service Engineer - North West England (Home-Based)

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join a UK market-leading supplier of liquid filling and capping machinery. This opportunity has arisen due to recent company expansion.

The Role

• Home-based, living in Northern England (North West preferred).
• Providing service, repair, and refurbishment at client sites across the UK.
• Occasional overnight stays required (1-2 nights per week on average).
• Working closely with the Service Manager and Directors, with full on-the-job training provided.
• May also support the sales team with demonstrations of smaller bench-top machinery.

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 per year
• Mileage allowance: 50p per mile (no cap)
• 5 weeks paid holiday
• Pension contribution after 3 months
• Life cover benefit of £25,000 (after probation period)

Requirements

• Fully trained engineer with strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Completed an engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent) with relevant qualifications
• Experience servicing process or packaging machinery (advantageous but not essential)
• Full, clean driving licence
• Own tools required

Travel

• UK-wide, with occasional travel to suppliers in Italy
