Job Description

We are looking for one SERVICE DELIVERY CONSULTANT (Freelance) for STRASBOURG (at least 80% on-site) with EU-passport to start a 12-month contract (initial, extensions possible, this role will last years) for a famous EU-agency-client.

  • Start date: in 4-8-12 weeks or earlier when you have an existing EU-Security-clearance.
  • Hybrid role: 80% onsite in Strasbourg, 20% nearby. Long-term assignment in an international agency environment, initially 1 year, desired start date in January 2026. 
  • You will have to be willing to undergo Security Clearance, when you are not yet holding a CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL clearance.

TASKS

  • Coordination of the day-to-day delivery of all live service elements in accordance with agreed SLAs and contractual requirements;
  • Contribution to incident management; co-ordination of direct and indirect reports to ensure issues are investigated and rectified as swiftly as possible, whilst maintaining quality and minimising risk;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with operational peers to oversee and ensure all service lines are provided in accordance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
  • Responsibility for ensuring effective reporting is generated when required, including detailed incident reporting;
  • Ensuring quality is maintained throughout the service delivery process;
  • Gather and report detailed performance data against key indicators to generate actionable improvements to the quality of services offered;
  • Assist in supporting models and managing transition of projects and new services into the business-as-usual model;
  • Assist in coordinating Problem and Release Management activities to ensure effective service management;
  • Assist in coordinating problem resolution, involving internal support groups, vendors, suppliers, customers and managing any roadblocks;
  • Ensure quality of Known Error records and the Knowledge Database;
  • Coordinate with contract managers to ensure timely problem resolution and contractual fulfilment and involve Supplier Management when necessary;
  • Conduct Post Resolution Review of critical problems and supports in following up of their activities together with the Service Delivery Manager;
  • Ensure that Problem Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are reported and their targets are met;
  • Take escalations from Problem Coordinator and handles them accordingly

SKILLS

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after the secondary school.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the domain, of which
  • Minimum 2 years of Change/Incident/Problem Management or Project Management experience.
  • ITIL/ITIL V3 Foundation Certification;
  • People-management skills, coupled with strong communication skills;
  • Good planning skills that go along with proper time management; Problem-solving skills;
  • Proven communication skills with multiple levels of an organization, including interaction with senior management;
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills;
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple high priority efforts/competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities;
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals autonomously as well as work well in group;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Project, MS Excel and MS Visio.

Security Requirements

  • SECRET EU/EU CONFIDENTIEL: The profile owner shall possess a Personnel Security Clearance for accessing EU Classified Information, at least for level EU CONFIDENTIEL .
  • In case the person does not possess such clearance, then a fresh criminal record certificate (not older than 30 days from the signature of the Specific Contract) of the chosen candidate should be provided, together with the written proof that this security clearance process was initiated (up to level EU CONFIDENTIEL), and a copy of their national ID document/Passport, prior starting the work.
  • Declaration of confidentiality and protection of the information system and of non-conflict of interest document will be signed by the selected person at latest at the starting date (preferably to be submitted together with the criminal record and the copy of national ID document).

BACKGROUND

  • Our client is an international organisation and a great reference in any CV! English speaking environment.
  • This role will be 80% onsite
  • This is a real long-term contract with possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability (initial 220 day contract, where longterm extensions are foreseen).
  • EU nationals ONLY (due to the "EU" security certifications required). We can't accept any longer UK-consultants, as long they don't have EU-security-clearance or another EU-citizenship (Please note, after Brexit the UK-consultants can't get any longer "EU" security clearances, which is mandatory for this position).
  • Start date in 4-8-12 weeks. Earlier when you have an existing EU-security-clearance. We will support your request to get a SC clearance but this application might delay start by some weeks.
  • This position requires "security clearance level: EU CONFIDENTIEL". If the candidate doesn't have a Security Clearance (SC) yet, then he/she can start working, when presenting:
    - A fresh criminal record (from his/her home country), plus ID-card copy.
    Our company is holding "FSC - Facility Security Clearance", so we are able to guide/sponsor you through the "PSC - Personal Security Clearance" procedure.
