Service Advisor - Lancashire DAF

Lancashire DAF is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor to join our highly successful HGV main dealership. This is a key customer facing role where you will work closely within a hardworking front reception team to deliver exceptional service and support the efficient running of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the telephone
• Understanding customer requirements and booking vehicles in for servicing and repair work
• Planning workshop loading and producing accurate job cards
• Liaising with the Assistant Service Manager to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of work
• Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process and gaining authorisation where required
• Maintaining accurate records across company systems and databases
• Producing invoices and carrying out general administrative duties.
• Ensure all customer order number processes are followed.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle or automotive dealership
• Strong commercial vehicle knowledge (DAF experience would be a distinct advantage)
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine customer-focused approach
• A self-motivated, reliable attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
