Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Designing, prototyping, and developing server-based multiplayer game systems.
  2. Working across synchronous and asynchronous gameplay, tournaments and events, matchmaking, leaderboards, DLC, and more.
  3. Collaborating closely with designers, programmers, and other disciplines to create a high-quality, scalable, secure, and performant online user experience.
  4. Expanding our multiplayer services into new areas across upcoming titles, utilizing the latest technology to enhance the online experience.
  5. Designing and building new online functionalities that are maintainable, robust, and flexible, with scalability for rapid post-launch updates based on customer feedback.
  6. Developing tools to empower artists, designers, and customer service teams to manage online services effectively.
  7. Participating actively in design discussions to optimize the use of technology.

Requirements

  1. Proven commercial experience as a server/network or backend developer in high-load environments.
  2. Strong technical skills in Web technologies and frameworks, including JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET, Node.js, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, Redis.
  3. Extensive knowledge of server/network programming principles, including database design, replication, load balancing, messaging reliability, latency minimization, and security.
  4. A passion for the latest Web technologies; interest in gaming is a plus.

Bonus points

  • Experience in the games industry and/or with Unity is desirable but not essential.
