Sensors Engineering Supervisor (Front Nights) - Athenry, Ireland

Under the direction of the Senior Engineering Manager in the Sensor Engineering Org, the Engineering Supervisor provides technical leadership and support to equipment technicians across the shift, managing shift technicians, equipment, and line performance through specific maintenance KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of equipment technicians during the assigned shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Review PM and CM activities in Maximo and oversee maintenance oversight.
• Delegate preventative maintenance tasks and oversee corrective maintenance activities.
• Review and approve technician time and attendance records.
• Supervise projects such as layout moves, equipment assembly, and validation report execution.
• Deliver monthly performance updates through one on one meetings with each technician.
• Coordinate or conduct technician training as needed to maintain skill levels and support development.
• Work closely alongside the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth and effective shift operations.
• Step in to provide hands on support in escalation scenarios or critical decisions as required.
• Maintain and report on department metrics such as OEE, Yield, and other related KPIs for equipment performance and maintenance.
• Ensure full compliance with all safety procedures, including Dexcom's Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program and all other relevant safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and external suppliers to sustain equipment and support deployment and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up to date equipment documentation (manuals, drawings, specifications).

Qualifications

• Level 7/8 qualification and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience in a similar role is essential.
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
• Ability to write routine reports, shift reports and correspondence.
• Effective presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of PLC, automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro/mechanical systems, resistance welders, and packaging equipment.
• Experience with process improvement projects (e.g., improving yields, reducing downtime).
• Proven ability to work hands on in a fast paced environment.
• Technical writing skills for manufacturing documentation and process development.
