About the role

This role requires active engagement with women in our Women's Respite Service in Camden. You will support women who have faced abuse, exploitation and homelessness, often after systems have let them down. Your day-to-day work will involve de escalating crises, advocating with services, and providing support to help women rebuild a sense of control over their lives. You will hold a small but complex caseload, working intensively to build trust, navigate risk, and move towards stability and independence. As a senior member, you will lead by example, guide colleagues through complex situations, and shape practice that recognises what women have experienced.

About you

• Experience supporting women who have faced abuse, exploitation and multiple disadvantage, and an understanding of how these factors shape trust, behaviour and recovery.
• Ability to build relationships that feel safe, consistent and real, even when some have every reason not to trust.
• Grounded presence in challenging moments, able to respond calmly, think clearly and make sound decisions when risk is high.
• Strong judgement and confidence in complex casework, and comfort guiding others to deliver high quality, consistent support.
• Persistence, resourcefulness and proactivity, able to advocate, challenge systems and keep moving work forward for the women you support.
