Senior Vendor Manager, AWIPL

Amazon is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Vendor Manager who will own the P&L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Wireless business. As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms and contracts, expanding product selection, setting prices, setting inventory forecasts, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating a best-in-class customer experiences. The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill set and experience across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business, innovate and overcome hurdles, and achieve profitable long term growth. They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, business trends, events, and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments.
- Maximize Amazon's business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.
- Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
- Build vendor/brand relationships - be the primary point of contact for vendor selection, onboarding, escalations, and negotiations.
- Coordinate across cross functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, all while meeting tight deadlines.
- Have a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business. This includes owning forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business.
- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross functional teams
