Job Description
Our client, a reputable independent automotive workshop in Rugby, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician / Workshop Controller to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with proven technical expertise to take on a leadership position within a busy, well-equipped environment.

- Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding procedures on a variety of vehicles
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Conduct and oversee MOT testing in accordance with current legislation
- Support and mentor other technicians within the workshop
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
- Assist in workshop planning and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve faults effectively
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used as a Senior Technician / Workshop Controller
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- MOT Tester certification
- Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding experience
- Previous experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred
- Strong technical knowledge beyond general workshop duties
- Experience within main dealer or independent workshops advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
