- Optimise key UE5 features including Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, and Virtual Texturing for large scale environments.
- Integrate and refine procedural content generation (PCG) tools to enable dynamic world creation.
- Implement rendering friendly workflows that ensure scalability and performance across platforms.
- Profile and optimise GPU and CPU performance using RenderDoc, Unreal Insights, PIX, and Nsight.
- Work with technical artists and environment teams to balance artistic goals with system performance.
- Fine tune HLOD, culling, and world streaming for partitioned environments.
- Implement scalable lighting, atmospheric, and volumetric systems optimised for both PC and consoles.
- Support real time global illumination, ray tracing, and temporal rendering techniques (TAA/TSR).
- Ensure rendering systems integrate seamlessly with multiplayer and networked gameplay.
- Contribute to internal tooling, debugging, and automation for rendering features and performance testing.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in rendering or graphics programming.
- Experience on at least two shipped titles, including one open world or large scale project.
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 rendering architecture, including RDG, Nanite, Lumen, VSM, and Virtual Texturing.
- Strong C++ and HLSL programming skills.
- Experience working with procedural generation systems such as Unreal PCG, Houdini, or World Machine.
- Proven expertise in GPU/CPU performance optimisation and multi threaded rendering.
- Hands on experience with profiling tools such as RenderDoc, Unreal Insights, PIX, and Nsight.
- Strong understanding of lighting, shading, and post processing systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across art, design, and engineering teams.
If you're a Senior Rendering Engineer ready to shape the future of open world visuals and performance in Unreal Engine 5, this role offers a rare chance to make a lasting impact in one of the most exciting new studios in the industry.
