This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *insuring financial and operational integrity through continuous monitoring, accurate bank clearing and reconciliation, travel program optimization, and maintaining a high-compliance environment.*

Role Overview

As the Senior Travel & Expense Operations Analyst, you will act as the operational lead and subject matter expert for the client's global Travel & Expense (T&E) ecosystem. This role is critical in ensuring financial and operational integrity through continuous monitoring, accurate bank clearing and reconciliation, travel program optimization, and maintaining a high-compliance environment.

You will serve as the primary escalation point for expense-related and audit queries, oversee the Center of Excellence outputs, and support strategic automation and transformation initiatives across the T&E landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end life cycle of corporate card programs (T&E, P-Card, Lodge), including delinquency monitoring and card terminations.

• Perform and oversee monthly clearing of bank control accounts (eg, Citibank) in SAP S/4HANA and ECC, ensuring full reconciliation against bank statements.

• Oversee reconciliation and ongoing maintenance of Lodge cards used for central travel bookings.

• Act as the gatekeeper for the Cash Advance program, monitoring aging balances and initiating recovery protocols for long-outstanding items.

• Support global expansion of the P-Card program, driving the shift from invoice-based payments to card usage.

• Monitor AppZen audit results and support Real Time audit exception handling.

• Act as the final escalation point for complex expense discrepancies and system-related queries from internal stakeholders.

• Provide deep expertise in Concur Travel, T&E processes, and policy interpretation.

• Partner with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) to monitor service levels and improve the end-user booking experience.

• Coordinate and provide documentation for financial audits, ensuring continuous "Audit Ready" status.

• Ensure all activities comply with SOx controls and internal financial governance frameworks.

• Build executive dashboards using Concur Intelligence and TMC reporting platforms.

• Deliver monthly reporting on program health, spend volumes, credit utilization, and policy exception trends.

• Produce KPI and automation reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in T&E, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or Corporate Finance operations, with strong expertise in Bank Clearing and GL Reconciliation.

• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; project management experience (Lean Six Sigma or PM certification is a plus).

• Mandatory experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Concur.

• Hands-on experience with AppZen, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira, Citibank (CitiManager), AirPlus, and Google Workspace (advanced Google Sheets skills required).

• Ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets to drive data-informed decisions.

• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on automation and continuous process improvement through technology.
