Senior Tenancy Experience Officer

The role

To work with housing service colleagues, to lead and support tenant engagement activities across the Council's housing services, ensuring tenants and leaseholders are actively involved in shaping, reviewing, and improving housing services. The role promotes inclusive participation, strengthens community relationships, and ensures tenant voices are heard and acted upon.

Key Requirements

• To develop and implement effective a tenant engagement strategy for the Housing Service, working at a senior level with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote inclusive participation through a various formal and informal engagement methods.
• Organise and facilitate tenant/leaseholder panels, forums, and scrutiny groups.
• To provide support to tenants/leaseholders to enable them to be active and effective members of the Housing Service Improvement Board, sitting alongside Officers and Councillors.
• Support Tenant Scrutiny Panels and other service improvement groups seeking a diverse range of service users that is representative of the Council's tenants.

Skills & experience

• Three years' experience of working in a tenant engagement or community development role.
• Educated to 'A' level or equivalent in a customer services, housing or other subject relevant to the role.
