SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST

5-10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE Brighton Full-Time

JGA is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our growing studio. The ideal candidate is a technically strong, confident professional with experience in housing and residential development projects who is comfortable taking ownership of projects through both drawing production and construction administration phases.

• Prepare and coordinate permit, tender, and construction drawing packages
• Conduct independent site visits and field reviews
• Prepare Site Instructions (SIs) and Field Review Reports
• Respond to RFIs and coordinate shop drawing reviews
• Assist in the development of construction details and technical drawing packages
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery
• Support project management and scheduling during construction phases
• At times, provide mentorship as needed
• Ensure drawing standards and quality control procedures are strictly maintained

• Experience working on residential and housing development projects
• Experience with construction administration and on-site coordination
• Experience producing construction details and coordinated drawing packages
• Experience reviewing truss and floor shop drawings
• Strong understanding of construction practices, and assembly detailing
• Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and local zoning bylaws
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and confidently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
