Senior Software Architect - Manchester (Hybrid)

Role Highlights:

• £95k + 10% bonus + benefits
• 2 days/week in Manchester office
• Flexible start times (7am-10am)

The organisation runs a proprietary, Real Time transactional platform that demands high availability, low latency, and robust scalability. With a strong focus on performance engineering, cloud-native architecture, and continuous delivery, the tech function is central to business success.

The company is undergoing a strategic transformation, modernising its architecture and consolidating Legacy systems into a more unified, service-oriented ecosystem. It offers a collaborative environment where technical leadership is valued, and architects play a key role in shaping long-term direction, evaluating emerging technologies, and driving innovation across the stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate complex business needs into scalable tech solutions
• Design and document architecture across systems and platforms
• Evaluate emerging technologies and manage vendor relationships
• Ensure performance, security, and alignment with business goals

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect in modern environments
• Strong grasp of cloud, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and security frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
