About Valsoft Corp.

Established in Canada in 2015, Valsoft has grown to a global portfolio of 118+ companies, acquiring and developing vertical market software companies worldwide. A key tenet of Valsoft's philosophy is to invest in well established businesses and foster an entrepreneurial environment that empowers teams to become leaders in their industries.

Valsoft's investment model is simple: we buy, enhance, and grow software businesses - and we hold them for the long term. We focus on people, customers, and operational excellence over short term gains.

About Fluent Software Group

Fluent is part of Valsoft Corporation, a global leader in acquiring and operating vertical market software companies. Fluent focuses on businesses serving specialized industries, where focus and expertise matter most.
We provide a permanent home for founders and teams who want their companies to continue thriving, while giving them access to resources, technology, and best practices that drive sustainable growth.

Our Culture

At Valsoft, people are our greatest asset. We believe in growth through collaboration, innovation, and empowerment. Our team members are driven, humble, and hungry to learn - and we celebrate every milestone along the way.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Tax Manager to join our growing finance team in Ireland. While the position is based in Ireland, Fluent Group (a Valsoft company) is a Canadian entity, and this role will play a critical part in overseeing Canadian and U.S. tax matters across our portfolio, which represents approximately 50% of our operations.

The role will primarily focus on Canada and U.S. tax compliance, planning, and reporting, while coordinating with our local UK and European consultants for European support. As our presence in Ireland continues to develop, this position also offers the opportunity to help shape and support future growth within the Irish market.

Key Responsibilities Tax Provision & Accounting for Income Taxes
  • Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions for both Canadian and U.S. entities within the portfolio.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for current and deferred tax calculations, including effective tax rate reconciliations.
  • Assess the impact of Canadian, U.S., and international tax law changes on financial statements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax accruals, reporting, and disclosures.
Canadian and U.S. Tax Compliance
  • Manage compliance and filings for Canadian and/or U.S. entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and internal finance teams on tax planning, elections, and relief claims.
  • Support audits and liaise with tax authorities in both countries as required.
Transfer Pricing
  • Maintain documentation of intercompany arrangements and ensure compliance with OECD and local tax guidelines.
  • Collaborate with advisors on transfer pricing reports and benchmarking analyses for cross border transactions.
International Coordination
  • Partner with local advisors in Spain, the U.K., and Ireland to manage compliance and reporting for existing entities.
  • Support tax due diligence for new acquisitions, primarily in North America, with occasional European oversight.
  • Provide tax input for M&A, integrations, and corporate restructuring activities.
Ad Hoc Research & Strategic Support
  • Research and interpret Canadian, U.S., and international tax legislation to identify implications for Valsoft.
  • Provide proactive recommendations for optimizing global tax efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Professional accounting or tax qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, AITI/CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of post qualification experience in corporate or international tax, with exposure to Canadian and/or U.S. tax matters.
  • Solid understanding of corporate tax, transfer pricing, and tax accounting.
  • Experience with tax compliance, provision processes, and M&A tax due diligence.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple jurisdictions and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Why Join Us

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global software group where your expertise in Tax will have a direct impact on strategic decisions and cross border growth. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast paced environment where your insights are valued, and your career can thrive.
