Job DescriptionOptis Consulting is actively seeking a Senior System Analyst to join their Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, New York, Montreal, London, or Salt Lake City team. Working closely with the Project Manager, the analyst will serve as the first point of contact between technical clients integrating our partners' solutions with their ERP and other internal and third party systems. Responsibilities include developing technology solutions and mapping Optis customers' business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. The analyst will provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist Optis customers in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize their return on technology investment.
We need our Senior System Analyst to be confident, versatile, and passionate, with an ability to tackle new problems as we continue to help our customers to improve. They must be logical thinkers, have a strong ability to collaborate as part of a team and to manage ambiguous or uncertain situations. They must have exceptional communication skills, be adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Work with our project managers and clients to integrate our partners' solutions with our customers' systems.
- Assist clients with sample code, configuration, help clients debug integration code, prepare test cases, etc.
- Interact with engineers and developers at Optis's customers who are integrating their legacy systems with SAP Ariba, Coupa and/or Ivalua.
- Manage customer expectations and work with Optis/Customer project managers to meet project timelines and quality obligations.
- Work with integration engineers from our partners to successfully deliver the solution.
- Provide technical presentations as required to Optis prospects.
- Work well in both individual and team settings both on and off client site.
- Manage customers, where up to 30% of your time may include travel.
- Provide integration platform demonstrations and various trainings.
- 5+ years of overall experience working with integration technologies in the procurement space.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in application deployment and system integrations.
- Functional knowledge of procurement business processes.
- Technical aptitude and comfort understanding web based applications and the SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud models, infrastructure, architecture, and integration concepts as well as application of these technologies in the enterprise environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Proven hands on experience integrating with external supplier systems using standards like EDI, cXML, etc.
- Proficient with SQL, writing queries and fundamental relational database concepts.
- Strong understanding of web technologies.
- Experience with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua and/or GEP procurement solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience presenting clear and concise technical narrative.
- Experience with UNIX or Linux environments.
- ERP knowledge - SAP / PeopleSoft / Oracle or others.
- Strong understanding of web technologies.
- Ability to travel within Canada and the United States.
