Compensation: £14.25 / hour

Full Time - 40 Hours

Lynbrook has an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our team. Our shift patterns are 07:30am - 1pm / 1pm - 10pm / sleep in duties with a flexible working pattern:

Week 1 - weekend working

Week 2 - weekend off

Rota always given 4 weeks in advance.

Lynbrook is located in Bamber Bridge, a suburb of Preston, and offers residential support for four adults, who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability. The service is located on a side road in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood.

We can also support those who have:

  • Difficulties with communication
  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • Epilepsy
What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents

  • Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care
  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
  • Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
  • Manage service users' finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.

What you'll bring to the role
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
  • Experience working in Health and Social Care Level 3 or working towards/willing to work towards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others
  • Committed to promoting choice, dignity, and independence for those we support.
  • Knowledge of care standards, policies, and safeguarding practices.
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • A caring and respectful approach to supporting others.
