Senior Stonemason

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Stonemason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in working with various materials, including Natural stone: Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Slate, Limestone etc And Quartz. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are a stonemasonry company, we have been going just over 2 years and are growing hugley. We are seeking an experienced stonemason to work in our workshop, alongside an existing team.

We are based in Kent, just outside of Canterbury and our core business is the production of high quality granite, marble and quartz kitchen worktops, interiors, flooring.

We are looking for the right person to join our expanding team to keep up with the high demand we are experiencing.

The candidate should ideally have:

Experience in all types of cutting, shaping and polishing of Granite, marble, Quartzite and Quartz. Experience working with Porcelain would be advantageous. Ideal experience would be 5+ years.

Have an extensive knowledge of all aspects of stone worktop fabrication and finishing to a high standard

- Be proficient using hand held grinders and polishers to cut, shape, and polish stone

Edge polishing and profiling

Sink cutting and polishing

Experience in building up mitred edges

Drainer Grooves

- Collaborate with factory manager to ensure project specifications are met

- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.

Hold a clean driving license

Speak and have a good understanding of English

Have pride in their work

Work in an efficient manner

Be willing to work as part of a team

- Understand CNC technology (advantage)

- Operate a bridge saw (advantage)

- Operate the edge polisher (advantage)

- Knowledge of templating and fitting (advantage)

- Some heavy lifting is required, the factory can also be a noisy environment to work in but ear protection is provided.

Salary pay is negotiable and dependent on experience.
