Job description

The Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse B7 Respiratory will work on acute respiratory ward B7, which includes a dedicated 4-bed high care area for patients requiring acute non-invasive ventilation.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver specialist respiratory care for patients requiring acute non-invasive ventilation.
• Co ordinate ward activities and support junior staff.
• Manage the Acute Non invasive Ventilation bay and provide team support.
• Participate in a respiratory training programme covering tracheostomies, laryngectomies, chest drains and respiratory condition education.
• Drive change management, develop and implement protocols, and provide evidence based best practice care to a diverse patient group.

Desired language skills: Welsh is desirable; English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.

Qualifications

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse level, with demonstrated experience in respiratory care.

Benefits

Salary: £40,559 to £48,841 per annum (pro rata).
