We are looking to appoint a Senior Staff Nurse who is passionate about providing safe and quality care.
Our emphasis is on providing a therapeutic environment, offering a holistic approach to treatment in a safe and supported space which promotes rehabilitation and recovery. We work with various professionals, carers and community staff to ensure effective delivery of care and a planned, safe and timely discharge.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be required to take a leadership role on the ward, deputising for the ward manager when required, oversee the day to day running of the ward and be responsible for providing high quality clinical leadership to the in patient multi disciplinary team through supervision and direction.
The appointee will be required to work rotational shifts including weekends and bank holidays as necessary, with a flexible manner to ensure a seamless whole service approach.
Safe and effective delivery of care will be expected alongside compliance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications & Experience- Current professional registration - NMC
- Post graduate specialist training to degree level in relevant subject area
- Mentoring qualification or being willing to work towards this qualification
- Experience of working with patients with complex and challenging needs
- Knowledge of recovery and rehabilitation principles
- Knowledge and application of workforce planning, supervision and appraisals
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
