About Sale e Pepe Mare

Located within the iconic The Langham, London, Sale e Pepe Mare brings a fresh, coastal approach to Italian dining, with exceptional seafood, beautiful ingredients and warm, sophisticated hospitality.

Wine plays an important part in the experience, and we are looking for a Senior Sommelier who combines outstanding product knowledge with personality, confidence and genuine enthusiasm for looking after guests.

The Role

As Senior Sommelier, you will work closely with the wider restaurant and beverage team to deliver an exceptional wine experience while maintaining the relaxed, engaging style of service that defines Sale e Pepe Mare.

You will:

• Provide knowledgeable and engaging wine recommendations tailored to each guest


• Confidently guide guests through our wine list and food pairings


• Support the management and development of the restaurant's wine offering


• Assist with cellar organisation, stock control and wine service standards


• Support and develop junior members of the sommelier and front-of-house teams


• Deliver wine training and share your knowledge across the restaurant


• Build strong relationships with guests and create memorable dining experiences


• Maintain consistently high standards of presentation, service and hospitality

About You

Our ideal Senior Sommelier will have experience within a premium, luxury or fine-dining restaurant environment and a genuine passion for wine and hospitality.

You will be confident talking about wine without making it feel overly formal or intimidating, with the ability to adapt your approach to different guests.

WSET qualifications or equivalent wine education would be highly desirable, although your experience, knowledge and approach to hospitality are equally important.
