Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript)

Senior Frontend Developer - Paying up to £80k

3 days at Home, 2 days a week in the Brighton Office

My client is a world leading eCommerce digital platform company with its software development team in Brighton, and also offices in the USA and across Europe.

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong technical skills in JavaScript, React and ideally Next.js to join their Brighton-based engineering team. You'll design and build new features for two brand new products that the company will be bringing to market in 2026. You'll be joining a team that is tasked with driving the innovation development of these new products within their development environment. These are customer-facing website and internal applications, working mainly with React and TypeScript/JavaScript, and integrating with Python APIs in a service-oriented, containerised environment.

• Strong JavaScript development experience, with knowledge of an established framework (preferably React) and modern patterns/tooling
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS (ideally SCSS and/or CSS-in-JS)
• Confidence in debugging, unit testing, and integration testing
• A good eye for design and user experience
• Experience working with APIs and service-oriented architecture
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and cross-functional collaboration
