Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader - West Yorkshire - £65-80k + bonus

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer with good Siemens TIA Portal knowledge and experience of leading a small team to join a well-established, specialist engineering company with a base in West Yorkshire.

The company is financially stable and growing, as well as having a full order book.

Key aspects of the Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader role

• 70/30 split between writing software / systems engineering and leading a team of Software Engineers respectively
• Previous experience of scheduling works, planning & allocation of resources is key
• Being able to program using Siemens TIA Portal (& ideally Rockwell) is key - 80% of the projects delivered are based on Siemens, as the company is a Siemens partner.
• Successful Senior Software Engineer should expect variety! No two jobs are the same. The company is a bespoke manufacturing company and work with a range of clients who have a range of requirements in terms of scope, expectations and timescales.
• Modbus & OPC experience are highly desirable
• Preparation of design documentation including I/O lists, FDS, SDI, SDS, FAT/SAT Test documents etc.
• Senior Software Engineers / Team Leaders applying could have experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, whilst this would be useful, it's not essential
• The company has a policy of being open to colleagues attending training courses and encourage career development and progression
• Office hours are 8.00 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday and 8.00 - 13.00 Friday

The office is based in West Yorkshire and is easily commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax and the surrounding towns.
