SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - HYBRID/LIVERPOOL - RATE 510 PD INSIDE IR35 - 3 months INITIALLY - IMMEDIATE START

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)

SmartSourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong hands-on experience and a passion for mentoring others. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact digital services that align with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.

What You'll be doing:

Leading the development of dynamic, user-friendly web forms and services.

Ensuring solutions meet accessibility, security, and performance standards.

Coaching and mentoring junior developers within an agile team.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital services.

Tech stack and skills:

Java (expert-level)

Spring Boot/Spring MVC

Azure DevOps

GDS experience - essential

Strong understanding of accessibility, security, and performance in public sector digital services.

What we're looking for:

Proven senior-level development experience.

Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members.

Hands-on experience building services that meet GDS (Government Digital Service) standards.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
