Job Description
Senior Sleep Physiologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Sleep Physiology Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The department provides a comprehensive sleep service for the local population as well as being the tertiary referral centre. The service runs a comprehensive diagnostic & treatment service. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic & reliable individual to join the physiology team based at the Sleep Physiology, Royal Stoke University Hospital, which extends to the County site and CDC. Applicants should ideally have a proven track record of experience as an independent practitioner across the range of routine & specialised investigations and therapeutic interventions with theoretical & practical knowledge of a range of work procedures & practises.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Sleep Physiologist works within the Sleep Physiology Service to provide a specialist clinical services for the investigation and treatment of all sleep disorders. Please see Job Description.

Person Specification Education and qualifications
  • Clinical Physiology / MSc or equivalent degree
  • ARTP / RCCP /AHCS qualified or Eligible
  • Knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through specialist/management courses or training/experience to advanced level
  • Teaching qualification
Experience
  • Specialist experience / training in areas of Sleep Physiology and Therapeutics
  • Experience in Research and Audit
  • Commissioning experience
  • Professional manner
  • Ability to build working and constructive relationships quickly
  • Willing to undertake continued professional development
