An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Agent to join our Thames team, part of Galliford Try. As a Senior Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for managing your section of works, ensuring delivery meets client and company performance expectations. This is a site-based role with travel across multiple locations, so flexibility is essential.
What you will be doing- Take ownership of day-to-day management of allocated works, including supervision and monitoring of site teams and supply chain partners.
- Plan, control, and monitor progress, coordinating sections of the project as allocated.
- Manage multiple work packages in conjunction with the commercial team, taking full ownership of costs for your section.
- Capture and manage any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme, or design).
- Understand temporary works requirements and implement value engineering solutions.
- Attend external meetings with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships.
- Report progress and performance to the Project Manager and assist with cost forecasting, valuation, and reporting systems.
- Lead weekly and monthly site meetings and ensure all teams work to the latest design information.
- Undertake material take-offs, order materials, and reconcile usage.
- Carry out regular Health & Safety checks and CDM audits, ensuring compliance with RAMS, Permit to Work systems, inductions, and safety briefings.
- Resolve unexpected technical issues and maintain strict quality control procedures.
- Ensure site diaries are kept up to date and lead direct reports effectively, including annual PDRs.
- Monitor capability of staff and contractors for current and future workloads, reporting to senior management.
- Identify and assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.

Experience and Qualifications- HNC or higher in a relevant discipline.
- SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.
- Proficient in Office 365.
- Significant civil engineering experience.
- Ability to manage multiple or large packages of work.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting data, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
- Adept at interfacing with site teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients.
- Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and NEC contracts.
- Proven leadership, delegation, and advanced problem solving skills.
- CAD experience (desirable).
- Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable).
- First Aid certification (desirable).
