About your role

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines by performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, overseeing a skilled team of engineers and technicians, and swiftly resolving any technical issues that arise.

You will be responsible for maintaining a strong focus on safety compliance and ensuring that all operations align with health and safety regulations. Additionally, you'll keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

What You need to be successful

You are a strong Senior Shift Engineer with a strong background in engineering, ideally having completed an Indentured Apprenticeship and holding an ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline. You should have over 5 years of experience in an FMCG environment, with bottling experience being an advantage. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of asset reliability techniques and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.

You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a mechanical, electrical, or multiskilled background. A foundational understanding of process control systems is required, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly. Basic computer skills and an openness to embracing new technology are essential, along with good manual dexterity and the ability to perform manual handling operations. A "right first-time" attitude, problem-solving capabilities, and a strong commitment to customer service are also key attributes for this role
