About the Role

We are seeking a highly professional and proactive individual to join our team as a Senior Security & Reception Officer at our Basildon Tractor Plant. This is a key front line role where you will act as both a security professional and the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and contractors. You will play an essential part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. You will be someone who naturally presents a positive attitude and enjoys interacting with people. A large portion of your role will involve answering the switchboard and dealing with a wide range of enquiries, so you must be confident, approachable, and professional at all times.

In this position, you will provide a comprehensive security and reception service. You will welcome all visitors and contractors to site, ensuring they are properly signed in, briefed, and directed in a professional manner. You will carry out inductions for visitors and contractors, ensuring all safety and security requirements are clearly communicated. You will also manage the issuing and tracking of pool vehicles, ensuring all records are maintained accurately. In addition, you will support mailroom operations, including handling incoming and outgoing post and related administrative duties. You will be responsible for operating the site switchboard, handling calls efficiently and courteously while directing enquiries to the appropriate departments. As a senior member of the team, you will step up to act as the Senior Security Officer when required, demonstrating leadership, sound judgement, and the ability to respond effectively to situations.

What We Are Looking For

You will hold a valid Front Line SIA licence and a full UK driving licence, as driving forms part of this role. You will also be willing to be trained and participate as a member of the confined space rescue team. You will have an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, enabling you to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently at all levels. You will be IT literate, comfortable using standard systems for logging information, managing bookings, and handling communications. Most importantly, you will be a positive and professional individual who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You will spend a significant amount of time engaging with people, whether face to face or over the phone, so your ability to remain courteous, helpful, and calm under pressure is essential.
