Salary

£35,731.88 per annum (increasing to £37,399.38 per annum from 1st August 2026)

Working Hours / Shift Pattern

Four-week rolling rota. Typical shifts are 7:00am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-10:30pm. Weekend working required.

Employment Type

8 sleep-ins per rota for full-time employees (6 for part-time employees)

Qualifications Required
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
Experience Required
  • Experience working with children in a residential setting

Who we are looking for

Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Children's Residential Care Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle insured for business use
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and child-centred care
  • Confidence working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
Key responsibilities
  • Providing direct care and support to children and young people
  • Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of children in the home
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans
  • Supporting children to attend appointments and activities
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation using IT systems
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
