Senior Children's Residential Care Worker

Salary£35,731.88 per annum (increasing to £37,399.38 per annum from 1st August 2026)
Working Hours / Shift PatternFour-week rolling rota. Typical shifts are 7:00am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-10:30pm. Weekend working required.

Sleep-ins8 sleep-ins per rota for full-time employees (6 for part-time employees)

Qualifications Required- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children in a residential setting

Who we are looking forOur client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Children's Residential Care Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people.
Qualifications- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to a vehicle insured for business use
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and child-centred care
- Confidence working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
- Providing direct care and support to children and young people
- Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of children in the home
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans
- Supporting children to attend appointments and activities
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation using IT systems
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
